Canopy chairs are normal folding
chairs with a canopy or a covering over them. These type of chairs are
usually used as beach chairs, lawn or garden chairs but can also be used
in the living room as a decorative accent. Once the canopy is removed,
the chair can act as a normal chair and hence considered as a
multipurpose chair. In some cases the canopy is fixed on to the chair
and cannot be removed.
Canopy chairs are available in variety of styles starting from
traditional to victorian to modern contemporary sleek style.
The chair frame is usually of metal like iron, steel, wrought iron,
aluminum etc. The chair frame is powder coated like polyester coating,
epoxy coating, nylon coating which can then be painted. The color should
go with the decor of the living room. The fabric for the seat of the
chair are of various types like cotton, cotton blend, denim, leather,
micro fiber, corduroy etc. This can be plain or printed.
The actual beauty of the canopy chair lies on the canopy. Generally,
the canopy fabric and the seat fabric are same and of same print. In
some cases, a separate canopy is used. Canopy can be plain, simple
covering like the seat of the chair or can also be of various shapes
attached with frills and laces to give a different look. Those canopy
chairs used in beaches, lawns are functional chairs where the look may
not count much. But the canopy chairs used in living room are considered
as decorative accents and hence look very stylish and fashionable. These
chairs in the living room have canopies with ornate decoration.
