Wooden Bed

Woodwork in India has been tested on the incus of time, and is known for its beauty. A bed is a piece of furniture or location primarily used as a place to sleep. Beds come in a wide array of shapes and sizes. Most countries have a standard set of four sizes of mattresses. While the Double size appears to be standard among English speaking countries, based on the imperial measurement of 4 ft 6 in by 6 ft 3 in, the sizes for other bed types tend to vary. The European sizes differ; they are based on the metric system.

Wooden beds have been an integral part of artistic and utilitarian furniture for a long time. Antique wooden beds hold a special place in the furniture world. Wooden beds come in different shades and hues, owing to the natural color of the wood.


These beds are finely varnished and given a shining finish. Wooden beds stay as good as new for decades together and never lose their charm. Cost of the bed depends on the wood, size and the work done on the table.


Types of wood used :
  • Mahogany - This variety of hardwood is finely granulated and has a reddish brown color. Being extremely indestructible, mahogany resists swelling, shrinking and warping. It is extensively used for quality furniture like wooden bed.

  • Rosewood - Rosewood is very hard wood variety with a dark reddish brown color. The wood type owns exclusive fragrancy and is close grained.

  • Shesham - Shesham is a rich medium brown wood with deep grains. It is a part of the rosewood family. The wood variety is highly durable, easily carved and is exclusively used for making wooden beds.
  • Teak - Teak is a hard and moisture- resistant wood variety. It resists cracking, warping and decay and is best used in fine furniture like wooden beds.

  • Walnut - Walnut is a very strong and finely textured hardwood. The timber protests shrinking and warping and is very easy to work with. Etc.

Manufacturing process of wooden bed :
  • Wood cutting - Cutting of the wood precisely provide the solid framing for each bed according to their blueprint.

  • Wood assembly - In this wooden cut-outs and heavy metal gauge wire are assembled to construct the initial shape of each bed's style.

  • Finishing manufacturing process - Finishing and polishing of each and every bed is done in this step.

  • Inspection quality control -In this step, a thorough inspection is done by the supervising staff. The inspection is done in a specially designed super-bright room, which allows a better reflection of the finished product. Once inspection is completed, the new products are ready to be packed.
